  • Fabric Flower Making

    During this half-day class, you will learn traditional millinery flower making techniques, using natural quality fabrics. and paper patterns. The first flower will be an organdie Oriental poppy manipulated by hand producing a beautiful flower which can be made in a colour of your choice. The second flower is an English rose made with silk organza and hand-rolled to create a lovely delicate bloom. These flowers will make gorgeous additions to an array of accessories from statement hats and headpieces to bags or corsages. Materials Required Poppy: – Cotton Organdie 1/4 metre – Black stamens or a piece of black sinamay – A piece of muslin cloth – Water Rose: – Silk Organza 1/2 metre – Stamens ( colour of your choice) – Both flowers need matching thread – Needles and pins – Sharp fabric scissors. Paper patterns will be sent to you before the class. NB This course is now IN PERSON
